Math Tools: Resources for a Course with heavy graphing

HI! Wondering if you can provide a resource for accessibility tools for graphing in a math course. Thanks!

    Hi Cheryl

amCharts is a Javascript library that offers accessibility features. A lot of other libraries will display the chart as an image and rely on a separate table or description for screen reader users, but amCharts can be interacted-with by a screen reader (this isn’t to say a separate table isn’t still useful). There are other things to consider such as colour contrast, font and line size and weight, and proper labelling, which come down to the design and implementation, regardless of the tool used.

Feel free to get in touch with me directly if you have further questions.

    Kind regards
