Separate bib records for different locations?

We use separate bib records for copies of the same book in our 2 different locations (as opposed to 2 holdings linked to a single bib record). How will our holdings for our 2 campuses be managed and displayed? Will it be an issue during migration that we use separate bib records for the same title?
