college_expelled_summary

Hi. There is a field called college_expelled_summary. The docs are not explicit about what it means, but based on its name I would assume it is an OR of all the four college expelled fields.

However, I am noticing in pilot that we have no applications with this field set to true even though we have a few test applications with the individual expelled fields set to true.

Can we get clarification on how this field works?

Mike, If you look in the data dictionary v2016.3 it explains that these fields are optional - not mandatory (totally self reporting), there is no error checking done by CCCApply to validate or disprove what is entered. This field is not available as reportable data in the Report Center - so you would not be able to see the data entered in an application . This data is downloadable however. Did you check your download file to see if the data was a "1" or "0"? Mike please take a look at the Data Dictionary and let us know if you have additional questions.

Mike, I spoke with the Product Manager, and she indicates that she will create a Development ticket to have these fields available in the Report Center, and accessible in the Rules area of CCCApply Administrator. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Hi Merrie. Just to be clear, I do see them in the report center already. My question was whether the college_expelled_summary was a real field. The description in the data dictionary is mostly empty, though the table at the end says its downloadable. When we download it, its always false (also in report center), even though the individual college entries are not all false. So I was just trying to understand that the field means and how its calculated. There is no explicit checkbox in intl app for this field, there is for each of the 4 college expelled status though. Sorry for any confusion.

Mike, If you view the table (Appendix E) in the Data Dictionary where it lets you know if a field can be viewed in the report center, or used as a rule field, or is downloadable you will see the following:

Mike,This field is 100% self reported by the applicant. CCCApply does NO data validation (the data dictionary does say this) on this field. The data dictionary also says, in appendix E that this field is downloadable, not usable in the Report Center, and can not be used in the Rules area of Apply. Please see the table I put in my last response to you.
