Length of All Street Addresses

Hello,
Our colleges our testing the international application.  The IA data dictionary says the length of all street address fields is 50 characters but it was brought to my attention that the length is actually less than 50. Has anyone else experienced this? 

Test Scenario: Enter the following street address in each address field
                          No.4 Li YanHuaXingCheng, Zicun Town 

Result:            The whole address does not fit. 'Town' is left out of the street address.
