The Library Services Platform (LSP) project is an initiative to implement a multi-tenant, single instance of a cloud-based Library system across the CA community college system, resulting in tremendous time and resource efficiencies for libraries and colleges alike. While each college or district will have local control of aspects of the new library system, there will be essential areas around which all colleges will be sharing statewide. There is still work to do in deciding both how and how much the colleges will share, but at this juncture the vision is that sharing will occur in the areas of Cataloging, Discovery, Analytics, E-resource management, and Interlibrary Loan. As the LSP workforce works through the RFP and vendor selection process, with significant input from the field and a vision for the future of library systems, it will become more apparent which features will be shared between all CCCs.
