International application passport error

I have had international students that have tried to submit our online international application and have had an issue with inputting their passport expiration date. Their passport has already expired and OpenCCC will not allow them to continue. The error message says Please enter a valid year. Is it possible to allow students to continue even though their passport has expired? Anyone else encountered these issues and know if they are looking into fixing this issue?

I'm at Cuyamaca College. I tried changing my email but it wouldn't allow me to.

Please look at your International Application terms, you have no open terms.  That more than an incorrect passport expiration date would cause an issue with a submission of an International Application.  Also if this continues to be an issue please submit a helpdesk ticket to staffsupportccctc@openccc.zendesk.com .  Please include the CCCID's of the students, a screen shot of the error, and ask if they are using Chrome or Safari browsers (as those are the only supported browsers)

Hi Merrie,

We encountered this issue a few weeks ago before we closed our fall 2018 application. I will keep in eye on this once we open our spring 2019 application in September.
