Entering Major Category in Pilot site - doesn't save

Trying out major categories in pilot site.  Entered category for a major but it didn't save.  Other fields could save OK.

Inadvertantly imported a major CSV file with categories in Production and it saved.  That same file wouldn't update in pilot (actually not positive on that point.  I imported to wrong environment so I'm not sure I ever tried pilot).

Anyway, Just wanted to see if everything works as described in the application.

Thanks,
Bill

Morning Bill,
This a common issue.  Once you have typed in your Major Filter (without any comma's in the name) hit the enter key.  Then hit save.

Found a tip about using Chrome on one of your other responses in the forum and that seemed to work for them.

However that same posting (from you) warns about archived majors.  I just got question about A&R trying to add a major that's been archived.  Are they out of luck?  I can re-post under a new topic if you'd like.

Bill,
Yes, Chrome is the only supported browser.
Once a Major has been archived, it may not be retrieved.  And, each Major must have a unique Major Code, which cannot be repeated / reused.

HI Merrie,

Just getting back to this.  As for the archived Majors, I find that a minor inconvenience.  I'm surprised it's set up that way but we can work around that.  And we may go through a revamping of our program codes shortly so they may all be redone anyway,

However I still have that issue in the pilot environment. I'm going here to edit the Majors:
http://ltcc.pilot.openccc.net/admin

Then I navigate here: Applications menu->CCCApply Administrator->Majors
To end up at this URL:
https://admin.pilot.ccctechcenter.org/admin/apply/majors

Under Actions I click Edit Majors icon for the first one listed.  I enter 'Test' in the Categories box:

After I click Save I go back in to edit the same Major and the Categories field is blank.  I exported the Majors to see if maybe it's just not displaying but the CSV file has no entry for Category either.

This was done on a Chrome browser.

Just to tag onto this,  I tried this in Production and got the same result.  Again on a Chrome browser.

I must be doing something wrong, no?

Bill

Morning Bill,
After you type in the text of the Major Category, you MUST hit enter.  After you have added all the Categories, for the Major you are in, then hit save.
