I checked the CCCApply User Group Sub-Committees site but did not find anything related to this.
We do not have plans to add a question to identify adult high school students at this time, but as you know there are discussions started and more to come after the new year to discuss ways to improve the CCCApply Education page and the data collected to ensure colleges have all the necessary information they need to complete with state, local and federal mandates.
Can you provide some additional information on exactly what you are looking for in terms of identifying adult high school students?
Are you seeking info on the age of students in high school or is this related to identifying adult school students? Or something else?
The more information about what data you are trying to collect would be most helpful. I will ensure your request is review and discussed in future change request requirements meetings.
Thanks so much,
Public Schools: Adult School Students: Advanced Scholastic and Vocational Training Program.
Authorize students pursuing a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate at a school district adult education program or community college district noncredit program to enroll at a community college as a special part-time student (dual enrollment). They receive the same benefits as dual enrolled K-12 students but they are over the age of 18 in adult school or taking noncredit classes at a CCC. This population enrollment fees are waived if they enroll in credit classes up to a maximum of 11 units. It would make identifying this population easier if we could add under the education level question that they are enrolled in an adult high school.
Thank you, Betsy
We are currently working on the addition of Adult Education Special Admit options to the college enrollment and HS ed level questions - as per specifications from MIS. However, this addition to the Education page will certainly affect other questions on the page and we will be seeking feedback on our proposed implementation from colleges. Are you interested in reviewing the proposal and slides? They won't be ready to send out until Friday, but I'd be happy to include you in you are interested.
